The Curse of Akbar

This was a surprisingly good read because I was not expecting much out of it. If it’s a good book, in my opinion, little else matters. Everything else goes by the wayside, and that’s what happened with this book! There was mystery (who doesn’t like that?), there was a little bit of lovin’, and a lot of intrigue! Another thing was that it made you think about the larger issues of personal beliefs. I live in a place that does not allow for that, so this book was refreshing in that regard. In any case, get the book! You won’t regret it!

What a ride! Great read! Mr. Bond has a real talent for spinning a tale with lots of suspense, romance, twists and a knack for drawing a very vivid mental picture for the reader. The detailed descriptions in The Curse Of Akbar gave me a true sense of understanding far away places I’ve only heard about. I can describe the looks, smells and the feel of India in great detail. Couldn’t have done that before reading this one. If you love adventure and challenging your beliefs (think Da Vinci Code) then this is a book to add to your collection! I sure am glad I did!

This was a great read, bringing far-flung corners of the world to live in a vivid manner. I enjoyed the characters, and the continuous action that propelled the story across various continents. There were enough twists and turns to keep me guessing, and a solid ending wrapping up the details. Highly recommend!
